Washing Linen

(1) Machine wash or hand wash? Both work! Just make sure to use cold or lukewarm water (30°C max) to avoid shrinkage.

(2) Use a gentle cycle and a mild detergent—no harsh chemicals or bleach.

(3) Wash linen separately or with similar lightweight fabrics to avoid damage.

(4) Hand washing? Soak for 10-15 minutes, gently swish, and rinse. No wringing or twisting—it weakens the fibers.

Drying It Right

(1) Best option? Air dry. Hang your linen clothes in the shade to prevent fading.

(2) If you must use a dryer, go for low heat and take them out while they’re still slightly damp.

(3) Avoid hanging heavy linen pieces on thin hangers—use padded hangers to keep their shape.

Dealing With Wrinkles

Linen will wrinkle—it’s part of its charm! But if you prefer a smoother look:

(1) Iron while the fabric is slightly damp, using medium to high heat with steam.

(2) If you don’t want to iron, hang it in the bathroom while you shower—the steam works wonders.

(3) A light water mist and smoothing with your hands can also help.

Storing Linen

(1) Keep linen in a cool, dry place with good airflow.

(2) Skip the plastic bags—store them in cotton garment bags or breathable covers.
